Timeline

  1. 1982 Born.
  2. 1984 My dad went looking for a computer for me when I was two years old. Multiple stores in New Jersey told him he was crazy for buying a computer for a toddler. Eventually he found one: a Texas Instruments computer. That’s where it started.
  3. 1990s Learned BASIC, grew up around computers, and started building my own PCs.
  4. 1999–2000 Started building personal websites.
  5. 2004–2006 VeryCrazyEric.com became my personal web playground: photos, downloads, guestbooks, blogs, music, PayPal buttons, and whatever else I felt like making.
  6. 2006 Founded Blueprint Design Studio in Chicago.
  7. 2006–2015 A decade at #1. Blueprint held the #1 Google ranking for “Chicago web design” for roughly ten years and ranked Top 3 globally for “web design.” Clients ran from startups to Subway, Unilever, Tyson, Northwestern University, the City of Chicago, and Tribune Media.
  8. 2010 Blog/social transition era. I was already using my own website as a communication platform before everything moved fully into social apps.
  9. 2010–2012 Built websites, SEO campaigns, WordPress systems, restaurant marketing, and digital strategy for clients ranging from local businesses to larger brands.
  10. 2015 Moved to Bangkok and shifted from web rankings to attention at national scale, working in Thailand’s media and entertainment industry.
  11. 2015–2023 The viral years. Drove four singles to #1 on Thai music charts — ahead of global releases from Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, and DJ Khaled — generated hundreds of millions of views, and grew client and media pages past a million followers.
  12. 2023 Founded Design Delulu and co-founded AI Automation Asia — the same discipline from the agency and viral years, applied to systems that compound.
  13. 2026 EricBarker.co, research tools, and new experiments — still building on the same foundation Blueprint started in 2006.
